We are more than legal

Anne Babu & Company Advocates is a boutique law firm founded in the year 2013 serving local and international clients.

We employ high standards of legal practice. We have a firm local footing and an international outlook. Our primary focus area, and what we are best known for, is employment/labour law. We assist corporate clients to interpret and apply the labour laws. We are at home in this space and our clients benefit from our expertise.

We also practice commercial law; immigration law; setting up of new entities; data protection consultancy; HR consultancy; and we also offer company secretarial services. Kenya is a hub for both local and international investment. It is also a favoured destination for not-for-profit entities. In this regard, we have positioned ourselves to offer a wide range of other services so as to meet the needs of such clients as elaborated upon further below.

We also conduct bespoke trainings and handle property transactions.

Anne Babu

ADVOCATE

Anne is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 15 years practising experience in employment and commercial law. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Nairobi and a Master’s Degree in Industrial & Employment Relations from the University of Turin, International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization, Italy. Anne has been identified and ranked globally by Chambers & Partners and Legal500 as one of the leading employment lawyers in Kenya. Anne is passionate about employment and commercial law practice, research, writing and entrepreneurship.

Isabel is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya having been admitted to the Roll of Advocates in 2021. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL. B Hons) from Strathmore University in 2018. She has gained invaluable exposure and experience in legal practice from both public and private entities. Isabel has a keen interest in employment and labour law practice, regulatory and compliance affairs, legal research and writing, legal consultancy and advisory services.

Fiona Tambo

Fiona holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the University of Nairobi where she graduated with Honours and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She has remarkable research and drafting skills. Fiona is passionate about employment and labour law practice, legal research, commercial law and data privacy.
